Point Lonsdale House
On Victoria's beautiful Bellarine Peninsula, approximately an hour south-west of Melbourne, lies the Point Lonsdale House. A two-storey holiday house situated amongst the surrounding natural landscapes.
The Clients desired a replacement for their ageing family holiday home, which could one day transition into a retirement home, reflective of their active lifestyle.
Clad in stained timber shiplap boards with matching timber-framed windows, the cladding will weather over time, allowing the proposed home to meld into its immediate context.
Leveraging views of the nearby lighthouse, the sheltered outdoor living spaces provide ample family entertaining for a holiday home near the beachfront.
Passive shading devices and cross-ventilation reduce the heating & cooling loads on the project, with the Builder’s decision to leverage prefabricated framing a way to reduce on-site wastage and speed up the construction time.
